Long days of summer give way to later sunrises, earlier sunsets and real night time with darkness, and ... termination dust. Termination dust is that white reminder of the oncoming season of riding two planks through deep powder.
We all have our little definitions for the next season, coho in the stream, ripening berries... But, can true termination dust occur before the fireweed's top bloom signals the end of summer? However one may define termination dust, signs of the season encourage us to quicken our pace of summer time pursuits and enjoy the cyclic continuum.
